OUR RED-EARED SLIDER TURTLES

We have 2 lovely Red-Eared slider turtles: Gaby and Jason. Gaby is a female that came with us from Miami to Nebraska, 2 years ago. Jason was purchased locally here. They live peacefully in a large container with water and sand. Until this moment they have not shown sexual interest in each other, but if this is ok with them it is also ok with us.
Gaby is voracious, appasionate, noisy (Miami FL. origins?) and Jason is a circunspect gentleman, perfectly dull as the Nebraska landscape. We feed them vegetables, earthworms, raw chicken. They like to get the food directly from our hands. They are our puppies and we like to think they recognize us.
